An annual flagship fund-raising event initiated in 1992, Charity Fiesta is organised by NUS Students' Union Volunteer Action Committee (NVAC). It is aimed at raising awareness, promoting volunteerism amongst undergraduates, and raising funds for our participating beneficiaries. Ever since Charity Fiesta is moved into public venues for the first time in 2003, it has added emphasis of spreading the message of volunteerism amongst the youths around Singapore.
This year, Charity Fiesta has came back with three events, namely Wish Upon A Star, Trail of L.O.V.E and Spread the Love. Look at our Programmes for full details of the three events. Our theme this year is "Drawing Smiles, Warming Hearts". This theme was selected as it reminds us of being able to give back to the society, regardless of its form in cash, food items or just spending time with the residents of VWOs. By contributing, we are able to see smiles on their faces with the feeling of someone out there who cares for them. It is our responsibility to love, care and bless them regardless of age, race or gender. So be that someone today!
